Describe this game to someone and you'll get placed on some sort of registry so fast. "You see you're a naked 8 year old who shoots his tears at poop and vagina monsters and ... hello Officer

OMOCAT's style and presentation create a wonderful atmosphere. The writing is solid but is not weighty enough for its "punch" to hit hard. It still hits, though, and the game is absolutely worth playing through.

The gameplay works fundamentally, meaning the shooting feels nice, but my god, it's so boring

The people who say this isn't much of a game are right, but it's also a pretty inspired whatever it is. Still, not my thing.

As seems to be the case with many deckbuilding roguelites, it's very simple on the surface, with a lot of options and agency to add depth. Very easy to find yourself hitting the new run button.

Despite the graphical limitations of the game boy at the time. Pokemon Trading Card Game perfectly simulated the experience. And still does for those who didn't keep their cards when they grew up.

It's all about the atmosphere and how to tell a set of simple stories in a great way. This was a great experience.

Barely anything to it in terms of gameplay, but it has some spectacle, and it was nice to immerse myself for a bit in the starting sections.

Pretty great for a while, but the difficulty ramps up too much after several hours, leaving it unplayable.
